Hydra ocarinas
This medieval Hydra (3-headed dragon) scultpure is a fully working Ocarina (wind instrument, kind of flute) and features 4 holes with english fingerings. It is handmade from white clay, we can play a full scale. This is a real piece of art and it's decorated with fire, just like the Hydra burned himself! (the flame burned white clay, not painted) and I put a layer of shellac to protect the instrument. I think it's actually the MOST AWESOME DRAGON SHAPED OCARINA EVER MADE! Great for collectors, took a hole week to make it!
Breath requirement
The breath requirement of my transverse ocarinas is low. The sound is mellow and not loud. I could make loud sounding ocarinas with high breath requirement on request only. I think most people play at home and a beautiful calm sound is more pleasant to hear than a loud sound. The soprano ocarinas have a clear and clean sound. Respiratory requirement is low to medium and the instrument is very expressive. The ocarina soprano sounds louder than transverse ocarinas.
